Our group's perspective

Initially, the Tamil Tigers organized campaigns against the Sri Lankan government that seeks to create an independent Tamil state in the north and east of Sri Lanka. However, due to the huge resistance from the Sri Lankan army, they resorted to violence.

Hence, in our group's opinion, the LTTE should not be blamed totally. At the beginning, they only wanted to create an independent Tamil state in the north and east of Sri Lanka, yet the Sri Lankan government ....... to be continued after we done our research :D

  1. Yes, I agree that the blame should not all go to the Tamil Tigers. They did not resort to violence in the first place as they only wanted to create an independent Tamil state in the north and east of Sri Lanka. However, this request was not met and they resorted to violence eventually.

Therefore, I think that the blame should go to thje Sri Lanka government as they brought this upon themselves for the formation of the Tamil Tigers and their actions against them.

  2. I agree with you too! If the Sri Lanka government have not resisted so much when the Tamil Tigers wanted to create an independent Tamil state and have instead probably negotiated, I think that the Tamil Tigers will not resort to violence.
